Carly Rae Jepsen was born on 21 November 1985 at Mission British Columbia Canada. When she was a kid, Carly Rae began to play music. She was already in high-school when she started competing in local talent contests. Then, in Victoria, British Columbia she was a student at the Canadian College of Performing Arts. She was a top 3 finisher in an audition for Canadian Idol Season 5. Tug of War, her debut album, debuted following the finals of the show in 2008. The album was a huge success immediately which landed her at number 6 in the Canadian Albums Chart. Its hit song Call Me Maybe was from her 2012 second album Kiss. It became a global chart-topper, reaching the top of charts in over 18 nations. The album sold more than 15 million copies were sold. She has since had three more albums out and has received numerous awards including two Grammy nods. Carly Rae jepsen made a significant amount of money through her career in music.
