Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej and is now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born November 12, 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 at the Olympic sport. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics coach, when she was six years old. She began competing in the national junior championships in 1969 where she placed 13th. She did well in the 1970 competition. Three gold medals were awarded in her first event, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 for the communist countries of the bloc. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior all-around champion. She won against Russian Lyudmila Torishcheva. The five-time European Champion at her first international senior competition in 1975. She won four golds and a silver. She was also the first female athlete to perform reverse double salos using the uneven parallel bar, as part of her demount. The American Cup was hers. at the American Cup, held in New York City. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. She began her career in entertainment during her teenage years. During this time, she appeared in two figure skaters with the older sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a American citizen who was born on September 6 1942 in Chicago, Illinois. Carol began her career in the entertainment business in her teens. At the age of a girl, she began performing as Figure Skating Performer alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The show featured dramatized ice skating performance.
